Can I run builds on my own hardware?

Yes. Pro users can register self-hosted workers on Mac, Linux, or Windows — install with one command, then pair the worker to your account by clicking a link (no tokens to copy or paste). The worker auto-updates itself in place, with automatic rollback if an update fails its health check, so it keeps running unattended. Builds route to your hardware while Venelx handles orchestration, logs, and artifact storage in the cloud.

Is self-hosting a Venelx worker secure?

The worker only makes outbound connections to Venelx — it never opens an inbound port, so there's nothing to expose on your network or firewall to configure. Credentials and build configuration live in your Venelx project, not on the worker machine's disk in plaintext.

Can AI assistants like Claude or Cursor control my Venelx builds?

Yes, via the Venelx MCP server (`npx @venelx/mcp`). Any MCP-compatible AI assistant can list your projects, trigger builds, tail build logs, check code-signing readiness, and diagnose GitHub access issues — using a scoped personal API token you control from your account settings.

Upload Apple .p12 certificates, provisioning profiles, and Android keystore files in project settings. Secrets are encrypted at rest. Venelx reads hints from eas.json and app.json to help configure bundle IDs and signing for Expo workflows.
